Add a ‘Create New Document’ link to a page

For XSLT View

ONCLICK="javascript:createNewDocumentWithProgID('{$HttpVDir}/Attendance/Forms/Attendance/Attendance
Sheet.xls','{$HttpVDir}/Attendance/Attendance','SharePoint.OpenDocuments',
false);return false;">Add new document

For HTML

/Attendance/Forms/Attendance/Attendance Sheet.xls', 'http:///Attendance', 'SharePoint.OpenDocuments', false);return false;" href="#">Create new Mod Attendance

Where Attendance is the document library

Attendance Sheet.xls is the template name in the Doc lib.
